t's cab time again. btw i love cab driving. never really found out why. this time a funny, friendly italien cab driver. he had this small TV handheld mounted. said he was watching all day & nite. i saw he like my attention for it. took the boredom out of his job. said the TV gave him the feeling of not being alone. especially at nite. made him feel part of something bigger, a community, sort of. the mere thought that all those others are watching, too, same time - same channel. in that sense TV has some magic in it. like a fireplace in ancient times. you look into it, you feel safe, happy, comfy. TV is magic. TV magic. even in a cab.
