Daniel Diemers studied business administration, economics, and sociology at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and the Rotterdam School of Management. In 2001 he received his Ph.D. summa cum laude from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), based on his thesis on knowledge management and virtual communities at the chairs of Prof. Peter Gross ("The Multioptional Society") and Prof. Georg Von Krogh ("Enabling Knowledge Creation"). Over the last years Daniel Diemers has been contributing to the topics of knowledge management, virtual communities, society, and virtuality, and has also been working for several companies as consultant in the area of knowledge management, e-business, and strategy. Daniel Diemers currently lives in Basel and Zurich, Switzerland.
